Planets

From VoidVerse Wiki

Planets

Planets are basic option to expand your empire. All Solar System have 26 Coordinates and one star (Check the Coordinate System for further explanation). They can be either a planet, a Void. Void positions can spawn asteroid belts or in rare occasions, a Void Boss may appear.

You can abandon a planet after 3 days of colonization. This is a decision to reduce raid colony spamming

After abandoning a planet, all structures will be reduced by 50% of the levels and the planet will be displayed in the Galaxy as a Abandoned Planet. These planets can be colonized by other players. This mechanic also allows high point players to boost a friend if they plan to re-colonize a larger planet anyway.

Planet Statistics

In Voidverse, a planet's location in the solar system (Distance 1-100) determines its physical size and what natural resources are abundant for extraction bonuses.

Size and Capacity

The largest planets are typically found in the "Central Region" (Distance 73-77). Extreme inner and outer orbits tend to result in smaller celestial bodies.

Distance Range Min Size Multiplier Max Size Multiplier Classification
1 – 15 0% 80% Extreme Inner
16 – 32 20% 85% Inner Tier
33 – 52 40% 90% Inner-Middle
53 – 72 60% 95% Near-Central
73 – 77 70% 100% Golden Center
78 – 80 60% 95% Post-Central
81 – 85 40% 90% Outer-Middle
86 – 92 20% 85% Outer Tier
93 – 100 0% 80% Extreme Outer

Resource Bonus Probabilities

When a planet is generated, it receives a production bonus to one specific resource. The table below shows the probability (chance) of which resource bonus will be assigned based on distance.

Distance Aslit Crlit Iopla SEM
1 – 15 0% 0% 40% 60%
16 – 25 0% 0% 65% 35%
26 – 40 75% 25% 0% 0%
41 – 50 0% 75% 25% 0%
51 – 75 42.5%* 42.5%* 15% 0%
76 – 100 0% 65% 35% 0%

The range for the general bonus percentage starts from 20% up to 42.5% and can be increased further by construction the Resource Lab or adding Relics to the planets.

*Note: The 51-75 range uses a nested roll, resulting in a split between Aslit and Crlit for the majority of the probability.

Summary for Players

  • Industrialists: Seek the 73-77 range for the highest probability of 100% max size planets.
  • Tech Hunters: Focus on the 1-25 range to secure SEM and Iopla bonuses.
  • Miners: The 26-40 and 51-75 ranges are your best bet for high Aslit production.

Instability

All planets can become unstable, either by being target of a Planetbuster or failing a Terraform Control Center.

While having a unstable state, all resource structures have 50% less output. The duration will be added up, if another Terraform fails.

Development Ideas

There is a backlog function, where players will be able to re-roll their planets with late game tech, which, of course, also may trigger a planet instability on each try. This allows a player to reach the maximum percentage of the resource, but not to reroll the bonus resource itself.
