Government

From VoidVerse Wiki

Government System

The government in VoidVerse represents the political and administrative evolution of your empire. By selecting specific doctrines across various tiers, you can drastically specialize your account for economic growth, scientific discovery, or military domination.

The selection have a lock for 30 days after change.

Overview

The government system is divided into Tiers. To access a specific tier, you must meet stringent research requirements. Once a tier is unlocked, you may select one of four specializations.

  • Specialization Focus: Most tiers offer choices that cater to different playstyles:
    • Defender/Economic: Focuses on production, transport speed, and planetary fortification.
    • Neutral/Scientific: Focuses on research costs, energy efficiency, and resource management.
    • Attacker/Military: Focuses on combat damage, construction speed, and offensive capabilities.

Info: There will be an additional bonus on selecting a full tree of one Focus in the future.

Core Research Drivers

To reach high-tier governments, players must focus on the following core technologies:

  • Photonic Computing: The primary gatekeeper for mid-tier governance and advanced logistics.
  • Neural Networks: The ultimate late-game requirement for Tiers 4 through 6. This research is extremely expensive, requiring high levels of Energy Research and Photonic Computing.
  • Government Network: The foundational technology required to even begin the Tier 1 selection process.

Strategic Notes

  • Changing Government: Selection is not permanent, but changing your government often carries costs or cooldowns. Ensure your current selection matches your immediate goals (e.g., switch to Arcanum Protocol before a heavy weeks of Excursions).
  • Expansionism: It is possible to keep a colony after switching away from Government Network. But you will need 2x advancements after that to get the next colony.
  • Tier 5 Resonance Barrier: This is a game-changer for defensive players, as it significantly boosts the effectiveness of planetary shield emitters (ISE), making your colonies much harder to raid.
