Transmissions

Transmissions are short story messages that arrive while you play. They continue the Void Arc, the part of the VoidVerse story that is told only in the game. There is nothing to do or to pay: read them, acknowledge them, and keep playing.

The voices

Speaker Who they are
Adjutant LYRA Your adjutant, the same LYRA who runs the Beginner's Guide. Practical and dry: she knows the data, not the meaning.
The Light The presence that led humanity out of the Solar System. Cryptic and sad; it speaks rarely.
The Echo A voice from the Void. Fragmentary and unsettling, and more articulate the louder your Void Resonance grows.

The Echo also writes to your inbox under System whenever your Void Resonance changes stage, rising or falling.

When they arrive

Transmissions are tied to milestones of your own journey, such as founding your first colony, your first survey or excursion, meeting the Void entities, installing a relic or crossing a wormhole. The exact moments are part of the story, so this page does not list them.

  • Each transmission reaches you once. Bots never receive any.
  • On servers with the Void realm, some transmissions reach every player of the world at once, when the world's Irregularity passes a milestone and when the Rift to the Void Realm opens.
  • They arrive in the order of the story: a chapter's transmissions start only after the previous chapter has begun for you.
  • The game checks for new transmissions about once a minute while you play. Some, such as the ones about wormhole passages, arrive at the moment the event happens.

Reading them

  • A new transmission appears as a small panel under the top bar on any game page. Acknowledge closes it; if more are waiting, the next one follows.
  • Archive opens Reports → Transmissions, where every transmission you have received is kept, newest first. Unread ones are marked New.

The story archive

The same page holds the story so far:

  • The Beginning and Parts 1 to 3 are always readable. They are the story from the lore page: the fall of the old world, the exodus and the first ships.
  • Parts 4 to 12 unlock one by one: a part opens for you with the first transmission of its chapter. Parts 9 to 12 follow you beyond the Rift, from your first colony in the Void realm to the first Void hold you break. Locked parts show "Signal not yet received".
