Alliance supports discovering, creating or joining an alliance and reviewing its members. Membership provides additional alliance pages and permitted management actions, including ranks, applications and diplomacy. The interface depends on your membership and permissions.

Leaders and officers conduct the alliance's [[Alliance Diplomacy|diplomacy]] on its '''Diplomacy''' page: they declare wars (with a reason and a loot share from 50% to 100%) and propose non-aggression pacts and alliance pacts. Wars and pacts in force are shown to everyone on the public alliance page: a flame marks a war, a dove a non-aggression pact, a handshake an alliance pact. Opening it loads the last 100 messages, so new members see the recent conversation. Only current members have access: whoever leaves loses it at once. Messages are up to 2,000 characters, at most 20 a minute.

Alliance

An Alliance groups players of one world under a shared name, tag and doctrine. Without one, the page lists all alliances led by human players, sorted by their members' total points, with a button to found your own.

Founding. Pick a name (up to 32 characters) and a tag (short name, up to 4 characters, stored in capitals). Both must be unique in the world, ignoring case; the form checks availability as you type. You can add a logo (PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP, up to 2 MB and 512 x 512, converted to WebP), a description (up to 2,000 characters) and tags: PvP, PvE, Miners, Trade. After a change of name or tag, both stay locked for 60 days.

Joining. The alliance sets whether it is open for applications and a minimum point total for applicants. An application needs a message (up to 2,000 characters), and you can have only one pending per alliance. With Auto-Invite on, an applicant who also reaches the minimum auto-invite points joins at once. Leaders and officers approve or reject on the Applications page; the applicant hears back in the Alliance inbox. Alliances led by bots take only bots.

Ranks and rights. The leader creates ranks (name up to 80 characters, level Normal or Officer), orders them by dragging and assigns them in the member roster. Rank names are visible only to members.

  • Officers and the leader: edit settings, logo and recruitment, handle applications, unlock skill tree nodes and run diplomacy.
  • Leader only: ranks, rank assignment, broadcasts and disbanding.

The header shows members, total points and average points. The roster lists the leader first, then members by rank order and points, with a message button for human players.

Leaving and disbanding. Any member except the leader can leave. The leader disbands by typing DISBAND: every member gets a System message and all wars and pacts end. Fleets stationed at planets you may no longer use are recalled.

Broadcast and logs. A broadcast (title up to 160, text up to 2,000 characters) goes to every member's Alliance inbox. Logs list the last 100 battles fought by or against members, with links to the enemy planet and the combat report.

Skill tree. A member's won attack adds 10% of the attacker's combat data points to the alliance's CDP. A node costs 4 x level² CDP (4, 16, 36), doubled for Linked Infrastructure (8, 32, 72):

  • Alliance Network: Transport fleets to other members' planets fly 5 / 10 / 15% faster.
  • United: CDP from member victories +1 / 2 / 4%.
  • Linked Infrastructure: members produce 0.10 / 0.20 / 0.40% more resources, shown on the production page.

Stationing. Fleets in Station mode can hold at members' planets and alliance Dyson Rings and help defend them; an alliance pact extends this to the partner (see Alliance Diplomacy).

Alliance chat. Every member finds the alliance's shared channel, [TAG] Alliance chat, at the top of the HyperCom, in the chat widget, the inbox and on its own page (the chat button in the alliance navigation). Everyone in the alliance reads and writes it; other members' messages carry their name, and new messages from others count as unread until you open the channel. Opening it loads the last 100 messages, so new members see the recent conversation. Only current members have access: whoever leaves loses it at once. Messages are up to 2,000 characters, at most 20 a minute.
