Robotic Acceleration
Robotic Acceleration
Type: research.
Prerequisites
- Robot Engineering: level 8
Catalog maximum level: 100.
Building acceleration
Completing level 1 unlocks paid G.E.L.D. speedups for the current building upgrade or downgrade on Resources and Infrastructure. Requires Robot Engineering level 8. Use the fast-forward Speed up icon beside Cancel in the current building progress section; no speedup action appears on building cards or when there is no current job. The remaining time becomes 3 seconds and waiting jobs move forward. Ships, defenses and research cannot be accelerated this way.
Additional levels
Every additional completed level beyond 1 reduces the G.E.L.D. fee by 0.25 percentage points, added together rather than compounded. Level 1 gives no discount, level 2 gives 0.25%, level 5 gives 1%, and the level-100 maximum gives 24.75%. Queued research gives no discount until completion.
The normal speedup fee is calculated from the current job and rounded first; the research discount is then applied and rounded to the nearest whole G.E.L.D. (halves round up), with a minimum payment of 1. A normal fee of 2,020 becomes 2,015 at level 2, 2,000 at level 5, or 1,520 at level 100. The fee also decreases as construction progresses. The confirmation shows the quoted amount; the actual fee is recalculated when you submit. The icon tooltip shows the cost, research discount, effect and any disabled reason (including insufficient funds and already accelerated jobs). Hover or focus the icon to inspect it; disabled icons also remain focusable and tappable for their explanation. The payment confirmation shows the quoted G.E.L.D. amount before submission.
Research costs
First-level cost before normal research bonuses:
These are Robot Engineering level 8 costs plus 10%, rounded up per resource. Later research levels multiply material costs by 2.25 per level. Base duration starts at 2 hours and grows by 1.5 per level; normal research speed modifiers apply. Check the game for your adjusted cost and timing.
Reference scope
These are catalog prerequisites. Queues, planet state and other gameplay checks can affect availability. Consult the game for current costs and timing.
