G.E.L.D.

G.E.L.D. stands for Galactic Electronic Luminary Denomination, the currency used in VoidVerse. Some controls call it credits. It is an empire balance, distinct from the physical Aslit, Crlit, Iopla and SEM stored on colonies.

Earn currency

Government Center produces G.E.L.D.; income from owned colonies contributes to the player's hourly income. Building levels, production settings and available energy affect that output, and applicable government choices can improve it. Income accumulates over elapsed time, rather than requiring a fleet to deliver it from each colony.

Matching planet-resource and relic bonuses apply to physical resources, not G.E.L.D. Ordinary resource storage allocation does not limit the currency balance. Boss and Excursion reward lists currently contain physical resources and their special currencies, not G.E.L.D.; random and combat debris do not contain it either.

Spend wisely

G.E.L.D. pays for espionage probes and counterscans, planet surveys, commander recruitment, some strategic rocket costs and launches, blueprint renaming and market listing fees. Ship scrapping also charges G.E.L.D. while returning materials; it does not pay out currency despite older UI help wording. Check the specific action's current cost and requirements.

With Robotic Acceleration level 1, G.E.L.D. also pays to shorten the current resource or infrastructure building upgrade or downgrade to 3 seconds. The research requires Robot Engineering level 8. Use the fast-forward Speed up icon beside Cancel in the current building progress section. The action is absent when there is no current building job; its tooltip shows the cost, research discount and effect, plus any disabled reason such as insufficient funds or an already accelerated job. Hover, focus or tap the icon to inspect it, then review the payment confirmation. Ships, defenses and research cannot be accelerated this way.

The fee decreases as the job progresses. Additional completed research levels reduce its price by an additive 0.25 percentage points per level beyond 1: level 2 gives 0.25%, level 5 gives 1%, and level 100 gives 24.75% (the maximum). Fees are rounded to whole G.E.L.D., with a minimum of 1; they are recalculated when you confirm. Already-paid speedups cannot be purchased again.

It does not substitute for physical construction costs or for Artifacts, Xenogen and VXP used in Biolab progression. Saving G.E.L.D. cannot fuel a fleet launch that lacks SEM.

Transfer and market

The G.E.L.D. transfer screen sends currency to another player's in-game G.E.L.D. address. Enter the recipient carefully and confirm the 1% fee, rounded up; the sender needs the amount plus that fee. The recipient receives the stated amount. Transfers accept whole amounts from 1 to 1,000,000,000 and cannot target yourself.

This is an in-game balance transfer, not a transport-fleet cargo mission. It does not require resource storage or ship cargo. Trade Hub listings charge a G.E.L.D. fee, but the market does not automatically buy resources with your balance or complete an exchange when you post an offer.
